Date: January 29, 2021
Location: Indian Peaks Wilderness
Distance: 12 miles
Group: Greg and Mat
Our plan started with an overnighter, but the forecasted -15 degree wind chill made us adjust last minute. So, we enjoyed a long day of snowshoeing (and some microspike work) instead.
We noticed some photogenic ice on Mitchell Lake on the way up.
Some birds also opted in on the photo shoot.
I will let the next couple photos speak for how windy it can be in this area.
A little chilly this day at about 11,350 feet, but worth the trek!
