Location: Rocky Mountain National Park
Distance: 15 miles
Group: Solo trip
I wanted to get in one last snowshoeing trip for the season.  So, a nice drive of just over an hour from my house took me into Rocky Mountain National Park (better to be there when there is more snow than people).
Microspikes worked fine within the first mile or two of the trailhead, but after that it was time for snowshoes.
I'm usually packing a four-season tent when snowshoeing, but the nice weather allowed for the Tarptent Aeon, which I just love.

This snow was concrete-like and the intense wind in this funnel let you know why.
