After Covid-19 wreaked some havoc on a lot of backpacking plans this spring, Landon and I were able to get out for a fun trip to the not-to-distant Lost Creek Wilderness Area.
I've been in this area several times within the last year, but have never stopped at the site of some old cabins (constructed between 1891 and 1913) that were built as part of an attempt to dam Lost Creek. We had a fun time checking them out.
We camped near a small tributary to Lost Creek and played around with a neutral density filter on the camera.
We opted for the Trailstar on this trip, which can be seen in the photo below (bright orange citrus color). It rained briefly during the afternoon (and on the hike out). Mosquitoes weren't too bad, but the ants were out in force. Glad for the bivies under the Trailstar!
Landon had to get back for work on Saturday, so we were up in time to catch the moon set and back on the trail by 5:25 AM.
